Uzi and Alon Amidor are the 2nd generation owners of the Quarter Café. In 1975, their father, Yehuda Amidor (after 13 years of managing Jerusalem's renowned "Savion" restaurant in Rechavia) was the first person to open a dairy restaurant in the newly restored Jewish Quarter of the Old City.

At the time, the Quarter Café was the highest building in the area and, in 1977, during Anwar Sadat's visit, Walter Kronkite broadcasted his CBS news program from one of the restaurant's balconies with its magnificent view of the Old City.

Since then, the restaurant has been frequented by many visitors from all over the world, who come to experience the Quarter Café's delightful local cuisine and its perfect setting in the heart of Jerusalem.

Recently, the restaurant also underwent an elegant renovation and it now has new air-conditioning on each floor, as well as access and facilities for visitors with special needs.

Over time, the authentic home-made recipes that were passed down in the family have also been enhanced by additional fresh local salads and herbs. The result is that the café offers a delicious cuisine to suit the tastes of its varied visitors who come from Israel, Europe, America and the Far East.

Throughout the day, and at every special event, Uzi and Alon are on the premises, offering you their personal attention and taking care that your dining experience will be a joy to remember.

At the Quarter Café, your pleasure is ours.
